“What are you reading on Mondays” is a weekly event hosted by Sheila that lets you share books you’ve read over the past week and books you have coming up. I found it up on Alita’s blog and occasionally like to play along…
I think I might finally be emerging from my reading funk!
Finished: The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield – it was a re-read but totally worth it! It’s still one of my favorite books. It really has the feel of a classic.
Started Reading: Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America by Barbara Ehrenreich. This one is for bookclub (on Friday!) There are only 4 or 5 chapters and I have finished the first one. I’m hoping to finish it by bookclub on Friday, but we’ll see. So far I’m liking it – it’s the kind of nonfiction I tend to enjoy – very social science focused.
The Happiest Baby on the Block by Harvey Karp. I’ve just started reading this one but it’s been encouraging so far!
Up Next: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. This is Noevember’s bookclub book and I figure I better start early since bookclub comes a week early in November due to Thanksgiving. This book has been on my TBR list, however I don’t actually own it yet and I think I’ve been waiting for it on paperbackswap.com for a while. I think my library membership expired…I might just need to get this one used somewhere.
What are you reading?
