“What are you reading on Mondays” is a weekly event hosted by Sheila that lets you share books you’ve read over the past week and books you have coming up. I found it up on Alita’s blog and occasionally like to play along…
Finished: The Host by Stephanie Meyer. I finished this one Saturday morning. I stayed home from work on Friday because I felt awful and spent a good portion of the day on the couch alternating between reading this book and sleeping. For being such a long book I finished it pretty quickly. I said last week how much I didn’t want to like this book but I really enjoyed it – even shed a few tears near the end. It was very engaging and it’s hard not to fall in love with the main character.
Started Reading: Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. I feel like I’m way behind the times on this one since everyone read it several years ago, but it’s been sitting on my shelf for a while so I think it’s turn is up. Now, let’s just clarify that by “started reading” all I really mean is that I picked out my next book to read but I haven’t actually opened it…or gone upstairs to get it off my bookshelf!
Up next: My mom lent me a Nicholas Sparks’ book that she really wants me to read, but right now I can’t remember the title. I’ve never read any of this books, but I have seen The Notebook and A Walk to Remember. She really liked whichever one this happens to be so maybe I will too!
What are you reading?
