Grilling

grillingJeremy’s parents gave us a grille when we moved into our new place, and it has already been put to good use! Jeremy has grilled at least once a week, and often more than that! It’s been so awesome, and the clean up is a breeze! We have done steak, pork chops, chicken and fish. On Monday night we grilled pork chops again. Jeremy pretty much does the same process with the meat every time and it seems to work out really well. 1.) Salt and pepper meat, 2.) rub with olive oil, 3.) rub with special rub – we use the Char Crust brand. Right now we have the Roasted Garlic Peppercorn but we’ve also tried the Ginger Teriyaka and both are excellent. 4.) cut small slits in the meat and then pour on some of Lawry’s Teriyaki marinade. It’s pretty much foolproof.

For the dinner pictured above we also grilled some squash and zuchinni in olive oil and a little sea salt and black pepper. I made the hashbrowns – it’s been my new thing since I started watching Rachel Ray on the Food Network! I just used frozen hashbrowns, cooked them in a little buttler and olive oil along with some spring onions and salt and pepper. Once they were all browned, I melted some cheddar cheese on top! They were delicious! I love the new grill!
