Ender’s Game (Ender’s Saga #1) by Orson Scott Card. This is October’s book club pick. Oh my! I don’t know how I had never heard about this book before! I guess I’m not really in the sci-fi world, but this made me want to be a little bit. I loved this book. I read it in 2 days…well, I have a 2 month old and a 20 month old so really I read it in 2 evenings/nights (I stayed up way too late one night to finish it!) It took all my will-power to not just order the next book on my Kindle right away! However in the spirit of trying to save money (since Jeremy has been out of work – but praise God because he got a job offer and starts his new job in November!), I got on the waitlist at my library. I’m hesitant to say too much because I know these books have a huge following and I’m sure I’m not geeky enough to even understand the brilliance of this book. So suffice it to say I enjoyed it and plan on reading the next one soon! 5 out of 5 stars!
Up Next:
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. This is November’s 
book club pick. I read this in high school but am looking forward to re-reading it in preparation for the movie and maybe re-read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy too…I also own the Silmarillion so maybe I’ll read that too!
