StoriesDivinations: Jewelry, Notecards, Journals and More

il_430xn37100553I know a lot of people who have shops that sell these journals made from vintage books, but every time I see them, I want to buy one! of course, this would be silly since I buy journals every so often and rarely write in them! So it’s just really not worth it for me, but I still love to look at them. I’m especially a sucker for stuff like this Life in Modern America – A Reincarnated American Vintage History Journal.

il_430xn23075975Not only do they have cool journals, but some really unique jewlery. I actually think this is what first caught my eye. This piece is called Inevitability of Rebellion. The artist’s thoughts on this piece are actually kind of interesting, you can click on the link to take a look.

  2. Hi,

Thank you for featuring my necklace and journal on your site… The necklace has a bit of a story behind it arising primarily from last Winter’s cabin fever with my 13 year old son who was in the full glory of his 13-year-old indignation at the entire adult world, aimed most often at all those who love him best… (because, of course, it’s the safest target) Having already one son who miraculously made it through that difficult stretch with his humor and humanity intact, I knew it was just biology and a phase in the blooming and only a matter of time before this one rejoined the world and noticed that we are all on his side… The strangest part was that the necklace was not deliberately or even consciously designed with any of this in mind – but it must have been in there somewhere because one evening in the middle of all of that I was playing with about a hundred little tiles and these aligned themselves up right in front of me and insisted that they be strung together as a tribute to the path to manhood and entanglement with generations of family and all that entails…

Thank you again for posting it…
