Jeremy often makes himself a bowl of Ramen for his evening snack – this generally takes placeĀ about the time I am climbing into bed and Jeremy is getting ready to settle down and watch whatever tv shows that he watches in the evening – I think boy shows like the Simpsons and Family Guy…Anyway, this is what was about to take place on Tuesday night. Jeremy had put his bowl of Ramen in the microwave and then come back to the bedroom to say good night to me. We got to talking and then a little later he said he needed to go because his Ramen was getting cold.
Jeremy: “Do you smell the Ramen?”
Me: “No.”
Jeremy: “Is something burning?”
Me: “Why do I smell smoke?”
Jeremy: “I don’t know, I’m going to go eat my Ramen”
Me: “Ok, make sure our trailer isn’t burning down…(as I yawn and curl up to go to sleep)
As Jeremy leaves the room….
Jeremy: “Oh no!” and begins to run quickly down the hall
Me: “What’s wrong?!?”
Jeremy: “I think I forgot to put water in my Ramen bowl!”
Sure enough, Jeremy had tried to cook his Ramen noodles in the microwave for three minutes without any water….turns out our home smells awful and we temporarily no longer have a microwave! We think that it caught on fire at one point (good thing it was contained within the microwave!). So, word to the wise, when making Ramen, please remember to put water in the bowl and you may even want to consider standing by the microwave and keeping watch…!

LOL — that is hilarious!!! I am glad it didn’t get outside the micro too though…bet he will never forget to do that again!

Hmmm . . . Ramen, something I have avoided for years and years! Funny that Jeremy likes it as his night time snack, and even funnier that he forgot to put water in it. Not so funny that your microwave broke.

It was almost fat-free Ramen, thus unfried, and not having enough oils or anything to protect it from catching fire
